We hope you will take special notice of the 1956 Jaguar D-Type – our 2015 Feature Car – offering a tasteful view into Jaguar’s legendary racing history. This “shortnose” D-Type is one of one with a factory red finish as it was originally designated for a possible sale in Italy. This very special D-Type never actually made it to Italy and was campaigned at home in England during 1956 at Oulton Park, Aintree, Snetterton, Silverstone and Goodwood. Currently on display at the Blackhawk Museum, this historic race car will be placed among several very special Jaguar vehicles in downtown Danville on Sunday September 21st.
